Rental Information

Thank you for your interest in our beach house.   We really feel that the Lord led us step by step to this house. Because it is our home and not a way to make money, we’ve decided to rent only to friends and family  (and those recommended by friends and family).  We are hoping just to absorb some of the cost of ownership by renting.  We pray that God will bring the folks that He wants to enjoy the house.  You can contact us at dozfam7@bellsouth.net  or 919-606-0279.

The house is across from  the Intercoastal Waterway on Holden Beach . It is a short walk to several public beach accesses. There is also a handicapped accessible public beach access with free parking very close to the house. We have wagons, carts and a beach lugger available to help carry things to the beach.  In the neighborhood, there is a small pier (handicapped accessible) with picnic area that allows fishing in the waterway.  There is a boat launch within walking distance.  You can also walk a couple of blocks to the pavilion, (where many public events are held~see www.hbtownhall.com), a post office, restaurants and treat shops. The land area is flat and excellent for biking.

The house has 5 bedrooms. There are 4 queen size beds, 2 twin beds, and a twin daybed with twin trundle bed. It has 3 full baths.(two showers and one shower/tub combo). The masterbath is adjacent to the living space and the masterbedroom. The other upstairs bath is shared between the two bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom has a bathroom.

There is a private swimming pool in the backyard.

The house is at the end of a dead end street, so kids can ride bikes or roller skate.

We have a strict “no pet or smoking policy”.  Sorry, no pets or smoking in or near the house or pool area.

Since we are renting it ourselves, we are renting it for less than other comparable houses. 
Our rates for 2020 are: $286/night plus cleaning fee-$150
              
We have to charge an additional tax fee of 12.75% for each rental fee.

 Nightly rates are the weekly rate divided by 7 times the number of nights spent.


Payment terms: ½ rental rate due 5 months in advance of rental, (or at booking if less than 5 months ahead) ,with remainder to be paid 1 month prior to rental. Booking is not secured without the ½ prepayment. ($500.00 is non-refundable if you cancel, don’t reschedule and we can’t find a replacement renter)
